The Team
Malcolm Decuire , Co Founder and Owner
Malcolm Decuire is a co-founder and owner of Altruvest. He started his career in real estate more than 10 years ago as an analyst in commercial banking & private equity. After spending 8 years in the SaaS & Real estate space he decided to build Altruvest with the intent to help underserved communities.
Today, Malcolm oversees operations for Altruvest Realty, working closely with the firm’s finance, marketing, and property management teams to drive revenue growth. He works alongside the executive leadership team to set the vision and strategy for the company, which is aiming to reach a total of $10M in real estate and 100 units owned by 2026 serving America’s most underserved communities.
Rey LaChaux , Co Founder and Owner
Rey LaChaux stands at the helm as a Co-Founder of Altruvest, a distinguished Real Estate and Asset Management Company, showcasing a rich history of success and innovation in the real estate market. LaChaux's journey began in 2008 with a thriving wholesaling and bird-dogging business, capitalizing on the market crash to lay the foundations of a remarkable career.
By 2009, LaChaux played a crucial role at P.I. Properties, managing financial operations and spearheading real estate leasing sales, demonstrating a knack for navigating complex financial landscapes. This experience was further enriched in 2011 at Bank of America, where LaChaux deepened his mortgage servicing expertise, adding a vital layer to his real estate acumen.
Educationally, LaChaux is fortified with an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from San Francisco State University, and a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics with a financial concentration from Greensboro College. These qualifications have underpinned LaChaux's strategic management of over 1 million in multifamily real estate assets, showcasing his keen investment insight.
A proud alumnus of the Bay Area's Emerging Developers Program, LaChaux is at the vanguard of real estate development, equipped with forward-thinking skills for navigating the sector's complexities. His role as Director of Marketing and Business Development at Assurity Realty Corp further exemplifies his ability to drive growth and innovation in the Bay Area real estate brokerage landscape.
